What you can expect

  • Dinner

We begin at the table. A shared meal reminds us that before anything else, we belong—to God and to one another.

  • Worship

Through song and stillness, we lift our eyes and open our hearts to the presence of God, centering our scattered selves.

  • Teaching

We sit under the story of Scripture, learning the way of Jesus in language that makes sense for real life.

  • Conversation

We process together, not to debate but to be formed. Questions and stories are welcome here.

  • Practice

We take what we’ve heard and try it on. Each week offers a tangible next step for living out what we’ve received.

  • Prayer

We end with open hands, praying The Lord’s Prayer, for the week ahead.

Sabbath

Sundays

Throughout the year, we take pauses from our Sunday Gathering. We aren’t machines. Rest is holy.

This pause also serves as a reminder that church is not just around a stage (or the floor for us), but it’s on the street, and it’s around a table.

While we don’t gather at Cohatch for a Sabbath Sunday, we do take the evening to slow down. Spend time with people you love. Go on a prayer walk. Light a candle. Serve one of our Justice Partners. Laugh around a meal.

2026 Sabbath Sundays

  • February 8th

  • March 29th

  • May 24th

  • July 5th

  • September 6th

  • November 29th

  • December 27th

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We’re not trying to be flashy. We’re not building a show. We’re creating a space for people to become—people being formed in the way of Jesus, together. Whether you’re full of faith, barely hanging on, or simply curious, there’s room for you at the table.

  • We welcome kids, noise and all. While we don’t offer traditional childcare yet, we provide quiet activities for little hands and space for families to be present together.

  • Whatever helps you breathe. You’ll find folks in sneakers, linen, denim, or dressed to the nines. We care more about your presence than your outfit.

  • Nope. You’re free to listen, observe, or share when you’re ready. Conversation is part of our rhythm, but silence is holy too.

  • Please do. Uncommon Nights are built for the curious, the unconvinced, and the hopeful. You don’t have to believe to belong.

  • Then you’re not alone. We don’t fear hard questions. We make space for honesty, tension, and rebuilding something rooted and true.

  • We’re a contemplative, urban church following the way of Jesus. Not loud, not flashy—just real people pursuing the good, beautiful, and true Way of Jesus together.
